Meriden, Warwickshire

Directions to Barker Butts Rugby Club From the North/ South & West:  Leave M42 @ J6 join A45 carriageway towards Coventry, over 1st roundabout, after approx 3/4 mile turn right to MERIDEN, thro village heading towards Coventry, up hill, over small roundabout, down hill, at bottom turn right into PICKFORD GRANGE LANE, venue is 200yards on right.  NOTE: When leaving join A45 dual carriageway (heading West) at the end of Pickford Grange road.

 

From the East/ Southeast: Leave M6 @ J4 join A446 heading south, turn left onto A45 dual carriageway towards Coventry, after approx 3/4 mile turn right to MERIDEN, then as above.

From Southeast (alternative) :  Leave M1 @ J17 join M45 then A45, keep heading for Birmingham, after approx 16m you will see a FORD dealership on the left, take the turn to MERIDEN, immediately turn left again into PICKFORD GRANGE LANE, venue ia approx 200yards on right.

Note: when leaving turn left out of Pickford Grange Lane, up hill, take right turn left again roundabout towards Coventry, up the hill, take the turn left out of Pickford Grange right again at small roundabout towards Coventry, right again, this then takes you onto A45 heading East.

Venue:  Polesworth Memorial Hall, Tamworth 

Directions to Polesworth Memorial Hall Leave M42 at Junction 10, signposted Tamworth and Nuneaton. At roundabout take the exit signposted Nuneaton (A5) onto Watling St

Continue forward, entering Dordon At roundabout take the 1st exit onto Long Street (signposted Dordon), Continue forward onto Whitehouse Road

Bear right onto Dordon Rd. Continue forward onto Fairfields Hill Bear left onto Market St. Continue forward on Market St, entering Polesworth

Continue forward onto Bridge St.  The hall is about 3 miles from junction 10.

The Brellimuk Trophy presented by Bruni Miller (Australia) to be won by the member winning the most points at the March/August shows, under the following system:  

1st prize = 4 points, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 2 and 4th = 1. 

The winner for 2007 was Melbourne's Smooth & Mini Smooth haired Dachshunds with 40 points.

The Club Points System for the winners in the following categories:

Top Dog / Bitch

10 points for a CC, 5 points for a Res CC.

In the event of a tie, the number of BOB's, is the deciding factor.

     

Top Stud Dog /

Brood Bitch

10 points for each CC winner,

5 points for each Res CC winner

 
     

Top Breeder

Progeny are only counted once

a CC winner who also wins a Res CC only counts as a CC winner. 

In the event of a tie, the number of winning progeny is the first deciding factor, followed by the number of points won by those progeny in total.

     

Top Puppy

5 points for winning a Minor Puppy or Puppy class where CCs are on offer (only 1 class win counted per show),

10 points for winning Best Puppy

In the event of a tie, the number of Best Puppy awards is the deciding factor.
